A Message from Our Founder
Every journey has a beginning, and mine started in a place that many South Africans know all too well.
I grew up knowing the reality of wearing what others passed down, and the heavy, quiet worry of not knowing where the next meal would come from. Like so many brilliant people in our beautiful country, people with immense heart, soul, talent and skill, life didn't hand me a textbook path. Circumstances meant completing studies or gaining formal qualifications wasn't an option. When life throws you curveballs, you put your head down and work tirelessly just to make ends meet.
In those moments, all you have left to do is Dream and Pray. Dreaming was a beautiful escape, a space where you could see a brighter future and smile. Praying was my anchor, because the Almighty always listens, and He answers perfectly when the time is right.
My dream was never just about personal success. From the time I was young, I wanted to help heal the world. I wanted to provide food, shelter, medical aid, education and support. Charity became the epicentre of my being. For years, I used every social media platform available to raise funds, reaching out in any way I could to lift others.
But the Almighty connects us with specific people for a reason. My lifelong dream of deep, sustainable charity finally became a reality when I was exposed to the digital era and found a team that shared my heart: LeadSync. With their incredible technical backing, the vision for u-Shop was born.
